Jamie Bush was privileged to grow up in one of America’s pre-eminent families, an experience that shaped his deep appreciation for service, leadership, and community impact. Since moving to Boston in 1973, he has dedicated much of his time outside of work to serving the poor, engaging in state and local politics, and contributing to various nonprofit boards. These experiences reinforced a core belief: people from diverse backgrounds share more in common than not, and great things are achieved through collaboration.
Jamie graduated from Boston College, where he met his wife, Sue, and later earned professional designations from the American College of Financial Services in special needs planning, family businesses, retirement planning, and life insurance. A Registered Investment Advisor holding Series 6 and 63 licenses, he brings decades of experience to client engagements.
His journey into financial services began in 1978 after earning a history degree—originally considering a future in politics. However, he quickly realized that through purpose-driven financial planning, he could have a profound impact on families, businesses, and communities. In 1982, he founded Bush & Company, a multi-purpose advisory firm that helps clients navigate estate and financial planning with special attention to insurance, investments and retirement plans, with a client focused holistic approach.
Jamie finds great fulfillment in his work and building relationships. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time on the water or the tennis court with his wife, Sue, their son and daughter, and their families in Virginia and Boston. He and Sue are also deeply engaged in their church in downtown Boston.
